WOYWW 115 – Less is More

It was a very busy week, with lots of crafting, gardening and visits to my good friends in the Eastern part of the Netherlands. But then it's Wednesday again and oh no… what do I want to show you? Happily my friend told me about the “Less is More” challenge... “The perfect place and challenge to share my one layer cards”, she said. So I went to their website and found out she’s right.

But before I show you my entry for this challenge, first a glimpse of my work desk today. And there’s not much to see on it. I had just finished my one layer card and cleaned up my desk, as I usually do when I’ve finished a project.

Alright then… here is my entry for the “Less is More” challenge. I don’t have to tell you that your card has to be clean and simple and it must have an area of ‘white space’ with nothing in it at all. It also has to be a one layer card and you must use ink.

Tot slot heb ik de tekst 'To You' gebruikt  because I'm wanting to fly 'To You' ...my friend.

My card is made with three colours Distress Ink (Antique Linen, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade) which I sponged with in a square. When the colouring was finished, I stamped some script with the darkest colour I had already used, but softened the colour by first stamping on scap paper and then stamping on my card without re-inking. The birds are stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. Finally I added the text `To You` because I'm wanting to fly 'To You' ...my friend.
